Yoga is a non-competitive sport which appeals to many teens and is an activity which will continue past graduation.

Our classes combine the therapeutic teachings of Iyengar Yoga with the principals of multiple intelligences to create classes that appeal to teens while educating them about their bodies.

Classes may be part of health and wellness or physical education.

Who:
Sessions are geared for grades 10 - 12.

Where:
Yoga sessions can be held in any open area; the gym, a classroom with desks moved to provide space, a lunchroom or wrestling room.

Length of time:
40 - 60 minute classes

Single sessions, sessions can be booked for a 1 - 2 week physical education unit or on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis to encourage growth and reinforce healthy life skills.

Equipment:
Comfortable clothing is recommended with bare feet and yoga mats are provided. Yoga blocks and straps may also be used and will be provided.
